Whether you are cheering on your favorite team court-side or at home, another hometown team is working behind the scenes to ensure you have reliable power to enjoy the game. Georgia Transmission has played a part on the electric cooperative team for 25 years, serving as the link between Georgia’s energy generators and local electric membership cooperatives (EMCs).

Oglethorpe Power, Georgia Transmission and your local EMC are all not-for-profit electric co-ops that work together to deliver energy to serve the more than 4 million EMC members in our local Georgia communities. Georgia Transmission engages in intentional and thoughtful planning to build and maintain the state’s electric grid that helps to provide access to the reliable, affordable energy needed to maintain a community’s quality of life.
